When Steph presents to Paul the incriminating evidence that she found inside his briefcase, Paul realises that someone is trying to frame him for the Lassiters explosion. Desperate, he enlists Nenes help, asking her to corroborate on a false alibi with him. Despite Nenes reservations, her soft spot for Paul gets the better of her and she plays along with the lie.

With the news about Paul being held in remand still fresh on everyones minds, a sympathetic Steph arrives to check in on the Willis girls and to drop off a casserole. But shes shocked when Piper takes out her grief and anger on her, smashing the casserole dish and declaring her belief that Steph was involved in the explosion at Lassiters.
