NBC's SNF begins its milestone 20th season with a blockbuster Kickoff Weekend. First, it's a renewal of the most-played regular-season SNF matchup as Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys visit Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts, NFL rushing leader Saquon Barkley and the Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles in NFL Kickoff '25 on Thursday, Sept. 4 on NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo. The opener marks the record 17th matchup between the clubs in NBC's SNF package and the first time Dallas and Philadelphia will meet in Week 1 since 2000.
Three nights later (Sept. 7), NBC Sports' SNF opener features the past two NFL MVPs as Lamar Jackson ('23 MVP) and the AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens visit Josh Allen ('24 MVP) and the AFC East champion Buffalo Bills in a rematch of last season's AFC Divisional Playoff – a two-point Buffalo victory. The game is the first in Buffalo's 53rd and final season at Highmark Stadium, which will make way for a new Bills' home in 2026.
The NBC Sunday Night Football schedule features eight matchups of 2024 playoff teams – including five meetings of division winners – highlighted by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, who have played in five of the last six Super Bowls, hosting Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions on October 12. With the Chiefs and Lions posting the respective best records in the AFC and NFC last season, this game marks the second-ever NBC SNF matchup of the prior season's top playoff seeds (NFL Kickoff '16 – Carolina-Denver in a Super Bowl rematch). The last Lions-Chiefs matchup was a thriller – a 21-20 Detroit victory in NFL Kickoff '23 on NBC and Peacock.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders host Sam Darnold and the first-place Seattle Seahawks in the Week 9.
Seattle and Washington meet for the 24th time on Sunday, including the postseason, with the Commanders holding a 13-10 advantage in the series. This will be the first-ever matchup between Darnold and Daniels.
Super Bowl XLV champion and MVP (with Green Bay) Aaron Rodgers and the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) host Jordan Love and the NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers (4-1-1) in a rematch of Super Bowl XLV in the Week 8.
Rodgers, who spent 18 seasons in Green Bay, holds the franchise record for passing touchdowns (475) and was named NFL MVP four times while with the Packers. Sunday night's matchup will mark the first time Rodgers faces his former team. With a win, Rodgers would become just the fifth quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams.
2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers (4-2) host NFC rushing leader Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons (3-2) in the Week 7 edition of NBC's Sunday Night Football at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the site of Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.
Atlanta's Robinson, with 822 scrimmage yards, and San Francisco'sMcCaffrey, with 780, lead the NFL in scrimmage yards entering Week 7.
Atlanta and San Francisco, who both played in the NFC West from 1967-2001, meet for the 83rd time on Sunday, with the 49ers holding a 48-33-1 advantage in the series. Their last matchup was Oct. 16, 2022, which the Falcons won, 28-14.

Montgomery scored the go-ahead game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter and the Lions' defense stopped a potential game-winning drive by the Chiefs in the closing minutes.
Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen and the undefeated Buffalo Bills (4-0) host Drake Maye and the New England Patriots (2-2) in an AFC East showdown in the Week 5 from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.
New England and Buffalo, who have combined to win every AFC East title since 2009, meet for the 132nd time (including postseason) on Sunday, with the Patriots holding a 79-51-1 advantage in the series. Since the start of the 2020 season, Buffalo has won eight of the last 11 meetings. Allen is 10-2 on Sunday Night Football in his career, while this Sunday will be Maye's SNF debut.
Live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Exactly one month after he was traded by the Cowboys, All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons returns to Dallas with new teammate Jordan Love as the Green Bay Packers (2-1) visit Dak Prescott and the Cowboys (1-2) in a historic rivalry game in the Week 4.
Parsons, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, spent four seasons with the Cowboys, earning four Pro Bowl and two AP All-Pro selections. On Aug. 28, Dallas traded him to Green Bay, where he has 1.5 sacks this season.
The Cowboys (62) and Packers (48) have appeared in the most NBC SNF games since the package began in 2006, and have met the second-most times in NFL postseason history (nine). Sunday night's matchup also marks the 24th game at AT&T Stadium in the NBC SNF package, breaking a first-place tie with the Packers' Lambeau Field and the Steelers' Acrisure Stadium.
