Big Brother follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining Houseguest receiving the grand prize of $500,000.
The Big Brother production will follow specific health and safety protocols for COVID-19 with the welfare of everyone involved as the highest priority. Houseguests will undergo a quarantine period prior to production and will be tested several times prior to entering the House. Once inside, they will be tested weekly during the season and have no contact with any crew members, and all supplies delivered will be disinfected. In addition, the live show will not have a studio audience.
All staff and crew members will be tested prior to commencing work on a regular basis, as well as screened daily for symptoms. They'll be required to wear PPE and will work in pods to enhance social distancing. In addition, a COVID-19 compliance officer will be on staff to monitor and enforce all health and safety COVID-19 protocols.

As with any great vacation, the Houseguests will start their summer of fun in an ultra-modern air terminal/living room where a "Departures" sign lists the exotic destinations featured throughout the house.
This summer's "BB Takeover" twist will feature a surprise guest each week who will appear on the show to announce a new twist into the game. Expecting the unexpected will be taken to new heights as Houseguests attempt to stay in the game amid the ever-changing twists that shake up life inside the house on a weekly basis. This season, the Big Brother Houseguests will live in a modern steel beach house that's the largest yet, with the addition of the "Sky Bridge," which adds 155 square feet of living space. Featuring a floor comprised of 12 clear plexi-glass panels, the bridge is not for the faint of heart, with its clear view to the first floor below. Also, Houseguests will enjoy the towering 22-foot-tall steel Wave Wall made of custom curved steel, wood and Plexiglas in the living room, which required the ceiling to be raised from 12 to 24 feet. The sixteenth season of Big Brother marks the show's first HD season and the house will feature a whimsical urban tree house-themed dwelling with bedroom decor that includes classical elements earth, wind, fire and water. This year's twists include two Houseguests winning the coveted role of "Head of Household" each week along with the fans having a unique opportunity to significantly influence the game with a new interactive element called "Team America."
