What could be more terrifying for a pair of hopeless home cooks than hosting their entire extended family for a holiday dinner? Chefs Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence are coming to the rescue of two of the worst cooks in America, sisters Brittany and Lesley. They want to continue their late grandmother's tradition, but the fire department always shows up when they are in the kitchen! Can the chefs help two culinary failures conquer their fears and create an unbelievably delicious family feast in just two days?
Worst Cooks in America revisits some of the craziest, messiest, Worst Cookiest moments in the show's history! Mentors face a serious challenge as they do their best to make experts out of seemingly hopeless cases.
The last two recruits face their final, ultimate challenge: to cook a restaurant-quality meal for a panel of culinary experts, including TV host Sarah Gore, chef Akhtar Nawab and Cooking Channel's Laura Vitale. Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray coach their recruits, who must put all the skills they have learned over the past eight weeks to the test in order to be named the winner and awarded $50,000 for their charity.
For the skill drill challenge, the celebrities must execute a simple recipe that is missing some key words. Then, for their main challenge, the remaining recruits must cook complicated pasta dishes for special guests and former Worst Cooks contestants Jenni "Jwoww" Farley and Kendra Wilkinson. The celebrities with the best dishes head to the finale.
The tables turn during the skill drill challenge, as the remaining celebrities become the teachers and direct Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray to make a dish. Then, the celebrities are introduced to the often-intimidating world of Indian cooking in their main dish challenge. The two recruits with the worst Indian dishes go head-to-head in a blind elimination challenge.
The celebrity recruits put their culinary knowledge to the test in a game of food and pop-culture related trivia. Afterwards, Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray demonstrate their own versions of the ultimate comfort food, chicken and waffles, which their teams must replicate exactly. The least successful recruits go head-to-head in a high-stakes butchering challenge.
Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray have scary things in store for a Halloween-themed boot camp. First, the celebrities must make unique monster Bloody Marys. Then, they tackle some frightening foods in their main dish challenge, and the two celebrities with the worst dishes battle it out in a 'devilish' blind elimination challenge.
In the spirit of Oktoberfest, Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray have their teams cook a traditional wiener schnitzel -- but in a relay-race while playing beer pong! Afterwards, the celebrities learn Oktoberfest-inspired meals, which includes making sausages from scratch. The two least successful recruits go head-to-head in a sausage challenge, and one recruit is sent packing.
Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray play a unique taste and describe game with the celebrity recruits in order to introduce them to unique tropical flavors. Then, the mentors demonstrate Hawaiian poke and pork dishes, which their recruits must replicate exactly. The two celebrities with the worst dishes go head-to-head in an elimination challenge.
The new cast of celebrity recruits quickly learn that boot camp is no walk down the red carpet! To assess everyone's skill, Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray have the celebrities cook a dish using some unique ingredients from their swag gift bags. Then, they teach them a simple steak and eggs dish, which proves to be much harder than expected for the clueless cooks. After Anne and Rachael pick teams, one celebrity is sent back to Tinseltown.
