Gon climbs to the top of the World Tree where Ging is expecting him, and the two finally have a heart to heart talk. Throughout this conversation, Ging reveals his intentions to explore the world beyond the current boundaries known to mankind and Gon tells him of all his adventures. 

Gon, Killua, and Alluka journey to the World Tree where Killua reveals Alluka's powers to Gon. Killua vows to protect his sister and says farewell to Gon, promising they'll meet again.

Gon apologizes to Ging for failing to save Kite and his father instructs him to apologize to Kite himself instead, affirming that he will wait for him to return. Meanwhile, Killua seals Nanika away, to ensure that Alluka can live a normal life beside him.

Leorio is about to win the election, but loses all motivation to continue after a fully healed Gon appears before him. Surrounded by his friends and the other Hunters who celebrate his recovery, Gon meets his father at last.

After Leorio gives his speech he is shocked with a roar of applause. With Leorio seemingly about to win the election, Pariston steps in with a speech of his own.

Illumi and Hisoka easily defeat all the Hunters sent after them. Finally cornered by Illumi, Killua is forced to reveal another rule to Alluka's abilities.

Tsubone, Amane, and Canary continue to chase after Killua. Killua sends a group of Hunters to capture Illumi.

Leorio rises to the third place in the election. Illumi plans on killing Alluka. After being separated from Killua, Gotoh is confronted by Hisoka.

Multiple butlers from the Zoldyck Estate are ordered to follow and keep tabs on Killua. If he breaks any rules he'll be brought back home. Leorio who arrives at the election conference, asks Ging why he hasn't gone to see his son yet.

Killua is reunited with his sibling while his older brother tries to get assistance from Hisoka.

When the election reaches a stalemate, Pariston takes advantage of the situation and attempts to bend the rules in his favor. Killua hopes that family will be able to come up with a solution that will help Gon.

When it is time to choose Netero's successor, Ging starts to set up the rules for the election. The first round presents to clear winner. Illumi tries to keep Gon and Killua safe.

Reina is seeking her mother, while Colt reveals a intriguing secert. Killua is in fear that she will loose Gon.

Meruem takes on Komugi in Gungi once more.

When Meruem has a conversation with Welfin, it stirs up memories of Komugi which sends him off on a new objective.

While on his way to a hostage exchange, Welfin encounters Youpi.

The King struggles in his efforts to recover his memories then knocks out Mereoron and Knuckle Bine.

Gon has made his request to Pitou about Kite and pays a terrible price when things go awry.

The King returns to the palace with hopes of recovering his lost memories. Gon has a request to make of Pitou.

The King appears to have lost a lot of his memories. He returns to the palace with Shaiapouf and Menthuthuyoupi with him to help regain his memories.

Pouf and Youpi use part of their own bodies to heal King Meruem, who revives stronger than he was before.

Neferpitou's time to heal Komugi is up, and Gon demands for their fight. Knuckle and Killua are tasked to watch over Komugi while the battle rages.

As Netero fights the King, he uses his ultimate technique. The King tries to counter Netero's attacks.

King Meruem and Netero continue their battle while Gon and Neferpitou go into the final ten minutes of Komugi's recovery.

Palm awakens and exits her cocoon after her capture by the Chimera Ants and then encounters Killua and begins a hard battle.

While the fight between the King and Netero starts, Ikalgo is underground reflecting on his inability to finish off Brovads. Ikalgo finally recalls his mission.

Zeno's Dragon head flies to deliver it's cargo to the battlefield, The Ant King, Mereum and Netero travel with it. Pouf continues with his plan to find the King.

As Neferpitou heals Komugi, Gon waits impatiently. The battle between Morel and Youpi advances to it's final stage.

Knuckle is upset when he finds out that the seriously injured Shoot is missing, Morel vigil outside the cocoon comes to an end.

Youpi finds himself admiring the strength of his opponents; Ikalgo takes advantage of the Palace's security system to escape the Chimera Ants.

Youpi pretends to become irritated with Loanboy.

Zeno is stopped by Cheetu after leaving the palace and Cheetu is desperate to test his new ability on Zeno. Zeno warns Cheetu to watch his back, meanwhile Knuckle is trying to escape Youpi with a seriously injured Shoot.

Upon entering the tower Gon and Killua find Pitou in a vulnerable position while operating on Komugi. Gon has trouble controlling his anger and demands to fight Pitou to avenge Kite.

Knuckle takes his fight with Menthuthuyoupi outside the central staircase as Gon and Killua finally come face to face against Neferpitou.

The King confronts Netero and Zeno.

The Extermination Team gets separated after the central staircase gets destroyed.

Gon and the others appear at the main staircase but their progress is momentarily halted when Dragon Dive finally hits the palace. 

The assault on the royal palace begins as Gon and his friends break inside.

The Chimera ant king becomes more reclusive as the sorting gets closer, meanwhile the wolf-like chimera ant Welfin finds a intruder in the palace.

The preparation to break into the palace continues.

Gon and the Hunters prepare to infiltrate the palace.

Morel and Leol battle in a underground church. Killua rejoins Gon along with his new friend, Ikalgo.

Knov reaches the palace, opening exits with his ability at several locations. Morel confronts a Chimera ant who thrives on leverage.

Meruem proposes a wager in the next game. Knov and Palm search for a way to sneak into the king's palace.

Morel sets a trap for Cheetu.

Meruem and Komugi the Gungi Champion start to play Gungi. Morel faces Cheetu in a fight.

The huge difference in physical strength between Chimera Ants and humans become apparent.

Killua runs across Rammot in the forest while Gon and Palm are on a date, and Killua tries to protect Gon.

The King goes on the move, and his powers magnify after he invades the Republic of East Gorteau and eats a Nen user.

The dying Queen of the Chimera Ants names the chosen King.

The Queen finally fives birth to the King, whose intimidating aura cows the rest of the Chimera Ants.

Gon and Knuckle duel again.

Gon makes Knuckle utilize his full strength, but Knuckle is able to identify the weakness in Gon's special attack.

A tired Gon and Killua return to their lodging after a battle with Knuckle but they are in for a surprise.

Gon and Killua learn how to take tokens from their targets, and then Bisky sends them to battle Knuckle.

Kite acts as a decoy so Gon and Killua can free themselves; the two boys then promise to save Kite.
