MasterChef Québec brings together cooking enthusiasts who have never worked in a restaurant. They compete against each other by preparing a variety of dishes, with the aim of impressing the judges, Martin Picard and Stefano Faita. The winner of the season walks away with a grand prize of $50,000, not to mention the prestigious and coveted MasterChef trophy.

Contestants must work as a team in order to gain an advantage for the next challenge. They will have to highlight fusion cuisine by presenting to the judges a jointly concocted creation. Ideas flow and originality is on the menu. Unfortunately, the execution leaves something to be desired for some.
