Alisa needs Nicu to lead her to the Redmask Headquarters so Lars can look for any plans Calvina might have for the Redmasks.

Being at the Redmask meeting gives Alisa insight into the dangers. The Redmasks know about the Elisabetha and are gearing up to strike it soon.

Ivy tells Alisa her and Seymour's story. Seymour made her a shadow because he felt lonely. Seymour regretted his decision to turn Ivy but she stayed with him, he was the only family they both had.

Dracula is captured by Van Helsing who wants the rubies. Alisa, also in a cage, is questioned by the Conte and Contessa.

As Tonka hands over the Arrufat ruby she stole to Dracula, she tells him about how Alisa walked into the sun and lived. Dracula now knows they share powers and he does not like that at all.

Alisa is furious Hindrik doesn't stand up to the Conte for his sentence, since he is innocent. Alisa sets out to give Conte Claudio the proof he so desperately needs.

So many emotions flow through Alisa at the moment she sees Ivy kiss Lars. She cries (and so does Dracula, to his own surprise), her hand glows. Alisa has to confide in Lars and Ivy about what is going on with her.

Alisa and Nicu are locked in a cell at the police station. Both Nicu and Alisa try to figure out what was going on, but Alisa could never tell Nicu the truth. Alisa and Nicu escape from the cell.

Ivy starts her first night at vampire school. Looking for the book about Dracula's history, Alisa meets Nicu again, but they are not alone as Lars watches them.

Alisa is struggling in school. Hindrik urges her to try and fit in and keep the Spark a secret. A strange girl and a wolf sneak onto the ship.

To succeed in their quest of survival the heirs of the clans need to go to vampire school.

Hindrik learns about Alisa's newfound ability and tells her to keep it to herself. The clans comes together and sets about on their voyage. 

The Dracas receive a prophecy by their Seer. Meanwhile The Vamalia restless offspring spurs some unrest in their vicinity.
