The vegetables are going into the ground at Brårud farm. Romantic dreams of manual labor are quickly shattered when Jon and Ellen realize they have gotten in over their heads. Jon and Audun become local celebrities when they organize a festival outside the local grocery store.

The weather ruins the threshing and bureaucracy gets in the way for Jon. He comes up with an idea that no other farmer has thought of before.
