The Nebuta Festival is the most exciting event of the year for the people of Aomori Prefecture. Giant parade floats, or nebuta, are skillfully maneuvered through the city streets. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the festival was held once again. We received special permission to film the local community as it eagerly prepared for the festival.
