The former mayor tells the current mayor about a tragic event that befell him. Sedykh's son, a tenth-grade student, created an underground organization, which he used to terrorize the entire school. In doing so, he clearly copied the practices his father had established in the executive committee. Sedykh learned of the incident from his teacher, Galina Chernyaeva, and, fearing a scandal, suggested that she hush up the matter. Chernyaeva refused. The conflict between the all-powerful mayor and the teacher ended unexpectedly: they fell in love.
