Dr. Gloria Miralles is a beautiful and successful doctor who seems to have it all. But she has always resented her best friend, Fe Quintero Ruiz, a sweet, sociable literature teacher and an obedient daughter. Two events deepen Gloria's jealousy even more: Fe falls in love with the handsome Sergio Grimán, to whom Gloria is also attracted; and Gloria's mother Alicia drops the bombshell that Fe is actually Gloria's half-sister from past infidelity and is entitled to half her fortune.
