Cang Yue is unexpectedly transported into a video game and learns that the only way to return to the real world is to complete the story's assigned missions. Inside the game, she becomes the last surviving descendant of the Moonshade Clan, whose main quest is to uncover the truth behind her clan's massacre and seek justice for its destruction. To investigate, Cang Yue infiltrates the royal court of Donglin and meets Jing Yuan, a seemingly ordinary eunuch. Believing Emperor Si Xingxuan to be responsible for her clan's downfall, she initially targets him as the object of her revenge. As the story unfolds, however, she discovers that Si Xingxuan is merely a puppet controlled by the Grand Princess, Si Xinglan, and that the extermination of the Moonshade Clan was a conspiracy orchestrated by Si Xinglan herself. Joining forces with Si Xingxuan and Jing Yuan, Cang Yue uncovers the truth behind the tragedy and ultimately brings Si Xinglan to justice. After completing the game's central quest and fulfilling her mission of revenge, she successfully returns to the real world.
