By the late 1960s, Elvis Presley is fading, creatively stifled and trapped in bad movies. His manager, Colonel Tom Parker, plans a comeback in Las Vegas. In 1969, Elvis triumphs at the new International Hotel, but Parker's secret gambling debts and Mob connections tie him and Elvis to the city. Elvis becomes Vegas royalty but behind the scenes, he spirals into addiction, paranoia and decline.

While Elvis rises to fame, his mysterious manager, Colonel Tom Parker, fixates on Las Vegas, gambling in Mob-run casinos and forging shady ties. By the 1960s, Vegas is both Elvis's playground and prison. As the decade closes, Parker plots a long-range residency for Elvis in Sin City, where the Mob still run the show.
