Surely, had Cinderella been a young woman in the year 2000, her path to happiness would undoubtedly have been different; instead of scrubbing floors, she would be looking for work just to get by, and she wouldn't ask her fairy godmother for a dress or a carriage, but rather for time and the chance to do what she loves in life.

Furthermore, she wouldn't sit around waiting for Prince Charming to rescue her; instead, she would go out and find him herself—showing us who would actually be rescuing whom—because times have definitely changed.
