Armando and Viviana were engaged and travelling on a cruise ship that suddenly sank. Maite (Viviana's sister) survived the wreck and spent a month on a deserted island with Armando; believing Viviana had died, she tried to seduce Armando, reasoning that the engagement no longer made sense. In reality, Viviana had survived and was on the other side of the island, being pursued by a cruel criminal, the man who had murdered her brother and sunk the ship because the police were after him.
