A professional neighbor — a property raider who has obtained the right to use a share in the property — can move into any apartment with improperly оформленными documents. He will use all lawful, but inhumane, methods to obtain the remaining part of the apartment. It is precisely such a cold‑blooded adversary that the incomplete Malyutin family, living in a Stalinist high‑rise on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment in Moscow, is facing. Now their life turns into a struggle for their only home, from which their neighbor Baev is driving them out.
The situation for the Malyutins becomes critical when the client finds out that Baev has sided with the victims of the eviction.
The customer, with a face swollen from bites, asks Baev to exterminate the bedbugs in his apartment.
Borya and Alisa are surprised by the relationship between Nadezhda and Baev. A partner enters the apartment — he was sent to help Baev, to evict the Malyutins.
