Pinina is a young girl who lost her mother. Her only relatives are her father and an aunt ; both love her dearly, but they don't have much time to care for her. Pinina spends much of her time at a boarding school where she experiences numerous adventures. This allows her to fill the void left by her mother's absence with the nuns, who help her through difficult times. As the story unfolds, she discovers new things and opens her heart to her father.
