Gene is asked to mentor kids from The Ludacris Foundation, a charity organization founded by the rapper that puts musical instruments into the hands of trouble kids. Gene will write a song and shoot a music video with them.
When Gene is sick and can't do press for the KISS tour, Nick has an idea that leads to trouble for Gene. Meanwhile, Shannon is house hunting with Tony Roman and his wife Donna and must make things right when Tony breaks a homeowner's prized possession.
While on tour in Amsterdam, Gene and Shannon spend some quality time with a young fan writing a school report on Gene. Things take a very emotional turn when the subject matter turns from music to his mother and her experiences as a holocaust survivor. After a soul baring tour of Anne Frank's home, Gene and Shannon meet the boy's family, which share a common history with Gene's mom.
