Season 1 comes to a close, with three kid chefs battling it out for a $20,000 culinary scholarship and their own Web series. But to win, first they must impress Chopped (2007) judges Scott Conant, Alex Guarnaschelli, Amanda Freitag and Marcus Samuelsson.
Meals, inspired by the movie Hotel Transylvania 2(2015), are created by the kid chefs; and guest judgeJeff Mauro is tasked with choosing the three competitors to compete in the finale.
The five remaining kid chefs are tasked with cooking and presenting a dish that changed their lives, in a challenge that Sunny Anderson helps decide.
The six remaining kid chefs are asked to show off their signature flavors in a pasta dish, which they serve to guest judge Fabio Viviani. Also: they create their own food product.
The kid contestants put their own spin on a fast-food classic, in a cook-off being judged by Daymond Patterson.
Eight junior chefs take on their first challenge, which is to show hostess Rachael Ray and guest judge Robert Irvine what makes them unique and worthy of sticking around for the next round.
