Daisy benches Coulson and takes a team to stop Ruby before she becomes the Destroyer of Worlds.
Deke is injured trying to help Daisy, while Fitzsimmons and Elena discover what Hale has planned. Meanwhile, Melinda makes a confession to Coulson.
Coulson convinces one of Hale's people to help him. Meanwhile, Jemma and Elena come up with a plan to free Fitz, while Daisy and Melinda turn to Robin for help.
Hale's history with Hydra is revealed as she tries to convince Coulson to join forces with her. Meanwhile, Fitz asks for his freedom so that he can help find out why Hale wants their leader.
Fitz tries to seal the rift, and what appears to be his greatest fear materializes to help him. Meanwhile, Coulson and Melinda capture Hale only to discover that it's a trap.

While Elena and Mack rally the humans to fight against Kasius, Coulson and the others try to find a way to return to the Lighthouse while Sinara comes looking for Daisy.
Coulson and the others meet up with the surface survivors, while Mack, Elena, and Flint battle the Roaches that Kasius has unleashed on the Lighthouse humans.
Faulnak sends his best hunter to recover Daisy, while Daisy, Fitz, and Jemma try to reunite with Coulson and the others. On the surface, Melinda meets Enoch.
Fitz makes contact with Jemma and tries to plan an escape. Meanwhile, the human teenagers undergo Terrigenesis and one of them reveals his new power.
Fitz is left behind and the military locks him up. He soon plots an escape, and works out a way to travel to the future to rescue his friends.
Kasius tells Daisy what her value is to him. Meanwhile, Grill tasks Mack with acting as his new enforcer, and Coulson and Melinda discover that Deke isn't being honest with them.
While Daisy tries to rescue Jemma, Coulson and his team search the rubble belt for a mysterious segment. Meanwhile, Jemma coaches a young Inhuman in her powers.
As they come to their grips with their new surroundings, Coulson, Mack, and Elena are forced to make a deal with a crime lord, Grill. Meanwhile, Jemma is captured by the Kree, and Daisy discovers who was responsible for Earth's fate.
The team finds themselves on a mysterious outpost in space surrounded by corpses, and with no sign of Fitz. As they meet the inhabitants, the agents try to work out where they are.
