Paladin hears of a businessman who holds an annual desert chase, and buys a camel to compete. He soon learns that the businessman holds the town's water rights and charges exorbitant prices, and sets out to break the man.

A wanted killer offers Paladin $200 to protect him from a lynch mob, and Paladin has to decide whether to take more money to let the lynch mob have the man... or let him go.
