Isabelle warns Mr. Beauvais to stay away from the pill dealer, because the case is much bigger than he can imagine. The material contained in the famous package may well be explosive, but it is a real puzzle from which nothing can be extracted without a conductor. Believing that Laurent Cloutier could be useful in this regard, Daniel goes to find him in prison. Nadine takes a very dim view of the idea of bringing Cloutier into the picture.

Chiasson chairs a meeting on the famous package. He warns Director Jalbert, who would like Nadine to lead this investigation, but she really does not want to delve into this matter. Isabelle and Bruno discuss it while they monitor the residence for the elderly. They note that Mr. Beauvais' suspicions were once again well-founded.

Patrick surprises Nadine by telling her of his desire to take a sabbatical year. Chiasson and Nadine receive the chief of staff of the Minister of Justice Guillaume Nantel who would like to recover the package seized during the police operation at the shopping center. Director Jalbert and his new right-hand man, Louis Bourgoin, summon them on this subject. Isabelle informs the director of the retirement home of the drug trafficking while asking her to cooperate with the investigation.
