Aaron Silverman is concerned when Dom Acosta, a musician and former client, chafes under what he thinks are severe parole conditions. In "The Glass Prison," Aaron attempts to obtain more realistic parole conditions. Then Acosta attempts to transport his wife, a drug addict, out of the city to a sanitarium and is brought before the parole board for multiple violations. 

An unmarried couple, commune residents Stuart Kelsey and Louise Grafton, appeal to the Neighborhood Law Office for help when faced with losing their 4-year-old son.

Attorney Michael Cannon leaves his Boston law firm to become director of the Neighborhood Law Office, where he guides three law students on a case involving two visiting musicians accused of robbing and beating up a cab driver.
