Marianna is celebrating her twenty-first birthday. Both Sandokan and Brooke are invited to the ball. Tension builds between the three, but Sandokan must first free Yanez and his crew, imprisoned in the dungeons, while trying not to blow his cover.

Leading his crew, Sandokan boards a ship and frees Dayak, a prisoner convinced that the pirate is the warrior of an ancient prophecy. Landing in Labuan in disguise, Sandokan meets Marianna, daughter of the English consul, and during a tiger hunt, clashes with James Brooke, a legendary pirate hunter.
