Gary is a bit confused and upset when he returns home unexpectedly from a creative writing weekend to find his girlfriend Dorothy in bed with his best friend and flatmate Tony.

Tony is worried that his new glasses will affect his sexual career. Meanwhile Dorothy is recovering from a painful operation which tests Gary's patience to the full.

Gary makes a special video tour of his relationship with Dorothy to celebrate getting back together with her.

Gary's father arrives unexpectedly, which threatens Gary's chances of seducing one of Tony's three girlfriends. Meanwhile, Deborah feels left out now that Tony has found success with the ladies.

Gary tries to sabotage Dorothy's fledgling relationship, while flatmate Tony has to choose between new girlfriend Jill and his trusty collection of soft-porn magazines.

Gary suspects Dorothy is having an affair. He recklessly enlists flatmate Tony's help in an undercover operation designed to gather evidence for the prosecution.
