Christmas Day in Gary and Tony's flat: a day spent lying in front of the telly in a self-induced coma.

Gary agrees to get rid of his beloved 25-year-old sofa, but not before reminiscing about his life, including his first day at the office and how he met Dorothy.

Dorothy has persuaded Gary to see a relationship counsellor. Meanwhile, Tony is having less success convincing Deborah to make love in unusual places, and no luck at all in his attempt to impress her mother.
