A spaceship then lands in one of Earth's cities.

One day, a mysterious monster star appears in a corner of the sky and approaches Earth. Goku tries to throw it off its orbit with a Kamehameha, but it is repelled and he is seriously injured and near death. Slug, a Super Namekian, lands on Earth and declares, "From now on, this planet belongs to Lord Slug, King of the Universe!" Gohan challenges the Slug soldiers, but is subdued. Slug summons Shenron to regain his eternal youth and power, turning Earth into an ice hell, but the cold awakens Goku, who heads to Gohan. With the life of the Earth at stake, the fierce battle between Goku and Slug is finally underway!
