The Düsseldorf prosecutor, Saskia Henker, moves to the beautiful Münsterland to take care of her somewhat eccentric but lovable grandmother, Hedwig Holtkamp. However, the sleepy little town in the smallest district court of North Rhine-Westphalia first has to adjust to the prosecutor's fast-paced work schedule.
