With the police hot on their heels, Theo and Willem try to flee to Germany. Someone living there can help them lure The Diplomat out of hiding before he seizes power. However, the borders are closed, and a manhunt for Theo and Willem is now underway throughout Europe. Eventually, Theo and Willem find themselves face to face with The Diplomat, and it turns out their greatest enemy still has one last surprise in store.

The Diplomat is about to seize power. Theo and Willem try to stop him, but then find themselves the prime suspects in the attacks. International police forces seal off Brabant completely and launch a manhunt for our duo. From now on, Theo Kamp and Willem Niessen are the most wanted men in Europe.

Not only are Theo Kamp and Willem Niessen on the hunt for the Diplomat, who hails from Germany, but together with the Tilburg agency, they also have to save the EU and fight terrorism. It's chaos on the day of the attack. Theo and Willem have to pull out all the stops to get the situation under control.

Malik is trying to figure out when the terrorists are going to carry out an attack. Meanwhile, Theo and Willem are interrogating Franz Redelmacher, hoping he'll tell them who "The Diplomat" really is. What they don't know is that "The Diplomat" is staying in Tilburg and has had his sights set on Theo and Willem for quite some time.

After even Willem casts doubt on Theo's theory about the diplomat, Theo decides to undergo therapy at a monastery. Tjebbo and Willem, each in their own unique way, set out to track down the second convoy of terrorists. Meanwhile, it turns out that the monastery isn't the best place for Theo to find peace after all.

Theo suspects the German chemical toilet dealer of being an accomplice of the diplomat. As soon as Willem finds the two of them in a deserted forest, Theo desperately tries to convince Willem of his story. Willem wonders if Theo isn't holding an innocent person captive. Is Theo even in his right mind?

Meanwhile, Theo's paranoia is reaching new heights, and Willem wonders: Is Theo Kamp still able to work, or is he completely losing it?

Theo and Willem discover an unexpected connection between the two criminal families. They try to use this to put pressure on their opponents, but inadvertently spark a gang war with life-threatening consequences.
