Terri sets off on her bicycle to fulfill her dream of traveling across Canada, while Zoël negotiates his terms to stay on the farm with Edmour. Rita must carry out her "matchmaker" mission and seeks a way to keep Darlene in Saint-Prospère. Didier LeMans, cultural agent from the French consulate in Moncton, arrives with an announcement that sows total confusion between Gilberte and Rita.

Edmour returns from his trip, but alone? Terri wants to explore her sexuality, leaving Zoël worried about losing her. Darlene, hurt by Rita, leaves St-Prospère. Lomer believes he lost Darlene because of Rita's clumsiness. Gilberte is elected, but can she fulfill her campaign promises and commitments?

Lomer wakes up at the cottage to discover he may have spent the night with Darlene and Rita. Rita lets slip a secret about Darlene, who in turn doubts Rita's good intentions. Edmour isn't thrilled about his trip to Florida. Terri feels attracted to Odile. Ferraille, despite his dyslexia, continues his songwriting efforts for the Tournesol project.

Zoël is worried about Terri becoming emotionally distant. Things worsen when she brings Odile, an old friend from university, home. At Edmour's request, Lomer comes to inspect the farm, further unsettling Zoël. Rita tries to warn Lomer about Darlene's dubious intentions.

Having found a project she's passionate about, Rita assumes Gilberte will want to develop it with her. Lomer must proceed carefully to try and allay Rita's suspicions about Darlene without ruining his chances of a relationship with her. Now attracted to Lynne, Ferraille invites the teacher for a picnic.

Panic erupts on the farm when Isabelle, Edmour's favorite cow, escapes! A rather unusual search party is formed to find her, unbeknownst to her owner. When Gilberte asks Rita to be her election campaign manager, Rita suggests a public relations exercise at the senior citizens' care home. Votes won't be so easily won.

Yolande is losing patience with all the conditions Edmour has set for his trip. Zoël wants to earn some money by replacing Edmour on the farm and tries to convince Terri to move in with him. Gilberte wants to sell the idea of a twinning between Saint-Prospère and a village in France to the town's development committee. Rita and Darlene try to rekindle their friendship, despite a stressful situation at the guesthouse.

Rita is searching for meaning in her life as she ages, while Yolande envisions her dream but faces obstacles in achieving it. On the eve of his final volunteer firefighter test, Ferraille must take on an additional challenge at the request of his chief, Lomer. Lomer is still looking for love and insists that Rita accompany him to a dance class.
